Founding Sales Lead


Hey, I’m Adam — co-founder and CEO of Talent Llama. We’re looking for a Founding Sales Lead to join me and my co-founder Ben as employee #3 and help us build something massive from the ground up.
This is truly a ground-floor role. We’ve laid a strong foundation — a solid sales playbook, quality decks, and real customer traction. What we’re looking for now is someone who can build on that, adapt it in the field, and help us take it to the next level. You’ll be working closely the founders, moving fast, staying flexible, and making a direct impact on how we grow.
We’re building AI-powered interview agents that help companies hire knowledge workers faster and fairer. And they work. We’ve got paying customers. Real traction. Now we need a closer, a strategist, a doer — someone who can own the revenue motion from lead to live customer and help us turn this rocket ship into a category leader
Here’s the deal:
This role is made for someone who:
- Wants to be the first sales hire and wear a bunch of hats — outbound prospecting, live demos, closing, onboarding, account growth, feedback loops — all of it.
- Knows how to sell to enterprise buyers but isn’t afraid to be scrappy. You'll talk to CHROs at $1B companies in the morning and write your own sequences that afternoon.
- Has rizz — real charisma, people sense, presence. You know how to read a room, get a laugh, and close a deal without being pushy.
- Doesn’t wait for direction — you see something that needs doing and just do it.
- Can operate like a player-coach. You’re in the trenches, but you’ve got strategic vision too. You’re not managing a team (yet), but you’re building the foundation for one.
- Understands that startups are intense. When we’re on, we’re focused, fast, and fully engaged. But when we’re off, we rest hard too. We believe in being a whole person, and we want you to have a life outside of work that keeps you inspired and sane.

What you'll do:
- Own our entire revenue motion: outbound, demos, closing, onboarding, and expansion
- Work hand-in-hand with me to refine ICP, GTM strategy, messaging, and pricing
- Be the voice of the customer, constantly bringing insights back into product and roadmap
- Help us build repeatable systems while keeping things agile and creative
- Lay the groundwork for future sales hires as we scale
